About
Us
The
EduCare Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational foundation, founded
in 1990 and based in Thousand Oaks, California. EduCare is dedicated to
assisting and empowering schools, school districts, youth-serving agencies,
teachers, and parents to better serve our world’s youth and prepare
them to lead healthy, fulfilling, and successful lives.
Beginning with its
ACE (Achievement
and Commitment to Excellence) Program
in 1987, the EduCare Foundation has provided programs for schools, colleges
and youth-serving agencies in:
- leadership development
- parent involvement
- school restructuring
and reform
- violence and crime
prevention
- self-esteem and
life-skills
- community service
- multi-cultural
unity
- adventure-based
leadership initiatives
- cross-age mentoring
- after school youth
development
- conflict resolution
and consensus-building
EduCare's
programs with youth, teachers and families have been offered in over 200
schools, districts and youth-serving agencies for more than 20,000 students
and 20,000 teachers and parents world-wide.
The ACE Program assists
young people in becoming high achievers, promotes healthy relationships
at home and in the community, and works to prevent destructive social
behavior such as substance abuse and crime. EduCare has been widely cited
as developing outstanding models for innovative and self-sustaining change.
