The following EduCare workshops are offered as professional development training and in-services for administrators, teachers, counselors and staff within schools, colleges, universities and youth organizations:

Leadership Development Workshop

Effectiveness on the job is a reflection of a person's effectiveness in his/her life. This informative and inspirational workshop explores ways to build educational environments that develops skills and motivation for success.

Objectives:

  • Build personal self-esteem
  • Develop strategies for working with greater confidence, effectiveness, and personal fulfillment
  • Sharpen skills for assisting others in taking greater personal responsibility for decisions, actions, and consequences
  • Increase ability to help others build internal motivation to succeed

Negotiating in Partnership: A Relationship Building Seminar

In this interactive seminar, participants practice simple yet effective techniques for building positive, professional relationships while learning practical tools for successful negotiation. The seminar focuses on:

  • Separating people from the "problem"
  • Investing in common interests, not positions
  • Creating options for mutual gain

Topics include:

  • Integrity vs. adversity: the inherent weakness of positional bargaining

School Restructuring and Reform

The purpose of EduCare’s Learning Community Program is to inspire and empower schools’ Instructional Transformation Teams (ITT’s) and their school stakeholders to become effective school change leaders, resulting in an on-going process of improving the quality of education for all students.

In order to develop and implement a site action plan focused on improving student achievement and learning, EduCare supports schools through:

  • Needs Assessment
  • Customized Coaching
  • Personal Mastery Skills
  • Broad-based Collaboration and Stakeholder Involvement
  • Trust-building and High Performance Teams
  • Continuous Improvement Strategies

EduCare’s Learning Community Program focuses on:

  • Creating Educational Climates of Collaboration, Unity and Progress
  • Empowering Parents as Partners in Reform
  • Linking School Communities with Local Resources and Services
  • Developing Student Leadership and Involvement
  • Completing a Site Action Plan that focuses on Student Learning and Implementation Strategies

EduCare’s Learning Community Program includes the following components:

School Change Facilitators
School Change Facilitators serve as consultants/coaches to schools’ Instructional Transformation Teams and stakeholders in support of their needs and reform directions. They skillfully assist the ITT’s in implementing opportunities for the entire school community to actively participate as co-creators in the reform process.

Instructional Transformation Teams’ Training
ITT’s consist of approximately ten to fifteen school community members and include students, parents, teachers, classified staff, support staff and administrators.

EduCare provides training, coaching and support in:

  • Teambuilding and Collaboration
  • Assessing Current Reality
  • Strategic Planning for Transformation
  • Developing a School Site Action Plan

Stakeholder Development Workshops and Events
Special events and workshops are held for individual and joint stakeholder groups to meet the particular needs of the schools, including:

  • Parent Involvement Workshops
  • Student leadership Training
  • Teambuilding Workshops
  • Conflict Resolution Training

Service Learning Workshop

Schools nationwide are realizing the importance of students sharing their time, resources, and talents through community service activities. The Service Learning Workshop prepares schools to develop and manage successful community service programs.

Objectives:

  • Develop the foundation for creating an impactful student volunteer program
  • Discover ways to generate student interest in community service
  • Learn methods to assist students in assessing their own talents for helping others
  • Increase ability to guide students through the preparation and planning of community service projects

Teambuilding Workshop

Teambuilding and communication are two vital qualities necessary for developing a positive work environment and a high performing team. EduCare’s Teambuilding Workshop involves participants in developing tools and techniques for more effectively managing on-the-job relationships, communication, and problem-solving skills. Simulations and highly interactive teambuilding initiatives engage participants in transformational teambuilding experiences that have practical application to student success.

  • Enhance higher levels of cooperation and teamwork
  • Develop the motivation and skills to promote effective communication among team members in ways that enhance productivity and result in increased student achievement
  • Promote commitment and accountability as a team member
